Narrung is a small rural settlement in South Australia, nestled on a peninsula between Lake Albert and Lake Alexandrina. These two lakes form part of the Murray River’s final journey to the sea. The area has a rich Aboriginal history, with the Ngarrindjeri people being the traditional custodians of this land. Today, Narrung is known for its farming activities, particularly dairy and beef cattle production. The historic Narrung Ferry, established in 1839, once connected the peninsula to Wellington, though it is no longer in operation.
