North Tent Hill Rest Area is a basic roadside stop located along the Stuart Highway about 35 kilometres north of Port August in remote South Australia.

This rest area offers traveler’s a place to briefly pause their journey and only provides minimal amenities, primarily serving as a location for road users to take a break, stretch their legs, or have a quick meal.

There are rubbish bins and shelter from the sun, but shade in this gravel parking area is minimal. There is plenty of room to camp or set up a caravan but remember to select a safe location, preferably back off the main parking area so that you are not in danger of road trains that may pull in at all hours of the night.

Remember to come prepared with their own supplies there is nothing here in the way of food or water.
